As an Assistant Technical Engineer/ Officer at Ontario Power Generation, I apply my previous aerospace engineering skills and knowledge to support the components and RTS engineering department throughout the refurbishment project of the Darlington nuclear plant. I am responsible for conducting technical engineering reviews, field walk-downs, performing calculations, and preparing documentation for various engineering projects and activities.
I have a Master of Applied Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), where I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant on a Bombardier Cabin Project. I developed and proposed a new comfort analysis methodology using OpenSim software, ran FEA simulations on ANSYS and LS-Dyna, and authored and co-authored multiple papers in engineering journals. I also acquired more than 100,000 dollars in funding for the project by presenting to NSERC representatives.
I have a strong background in engineering topics, presentations, and creative problem-solving, as well as certifications in WHIMS, EHS, and CASI Aircraft Design. I am passionate about applying my engineering expertise to enhance the safety, efficiency, and innovation of different systems and products. My goal is to pursue a career in engineering that allows me to contribute to innovative and impactful solutions.
